Andy Corner

Andy has been competing in rallying since the 1980’s.  He started out road rallying Skoda Estelles and soon  moved into Stage rallying with his Skoda Ford. Combining the Skoda Estelle rear engine, rear wheel drive format with the power of the Ford 1600 crossflow he succeeded in embarrassing many more powerful and expensive vehicles and drivers.

More recently Andy has competed in Peugeot 205s with various engines and layouts. He currently runs an 8 valve 1.9 with a Sadev sequential gearbox and Proflex suspension.   he is famous for his flamboyant use of the handbrake and sideways driving style.

Andy has also worked with television production companies, supplying vehicles, training drivers and driving vehicles. He is also often found at Visionmotorsport, working as an event manager or instructor.

Dan Corner

Dan’s first vehicle was a pedal go-kart, which his mother claims, he mastered handbrake turns in, on the garden path. Since then he has gone on to drive a variety of vehicles and developed his car control to amazing levels. He has competed successfully in the Peugeot 205 Cup and in several other events, with class wins and placings.

Dan is also an excellent mechanic and built his own 205. Dan also works as a motorsport instructor.

Mark Regan

Mark has lived on Jersey all his life and joined Dan in the Peugeot to to provide local knowledge at The Paperclix Jersey Rally 2009. He has previously competed on two wheels in sprints and hillclimbs before trying out the left hand seat of a Mini in 2005. He has competed on gravel and tarmac and his best result so far has been with Dan at the 2010 Loco rally where they finished 6th overall and first in class.

Mark works as a baggage handler at Jersey airport and is also a retained firefighter on the island.

Ed Haynes (AKA Big Ed)

Ed has an Escort MkII in his garage. He has competed successfully with it in both road and stage rallies.  He is the mainstay of the Cornermotorsports service crew and an excellent rally mechanic.  His pet hate are badly cut cable ties that scratch his hands.

Ed has been servicing for Cornermotorsports since the 1980s and has been involved in the building and maintenance of several rally cars.  His experience and ability to work under pressure to tight timescales make him indispensible in the workshop and the service area.  He is also fairly useful in the bar with an amazing ability to get a beer on both ends of any round.

Graham Whiting

Graham has been involved in club level motorsport for over 30 years, competing in autotests, road rallies, historic rallies, classic trials and off road trials. He currently runs a Skoda Estelle in MCC and MGCC events. He also has an MG Midget in the garage waiting for him to find the time and money to put it back on the road and a Land Rover 90 as a workhorse.

Graham can often be found in the Cornermotorsports service area, looks after the website and does a bit of PR.
